1st XI vs KEGS, Wednesday 23rd May 2012
Felsted won by 41 runs
On a glorious sunny day we finally had a game on our main square. Kegs won the toss and put us into bat. Will Buttleman (18) and Boomer Entwistle (31) got us off to a good start scoring at around 5 runs per over. Charlie Latham (17) batting at number 3 looked in fine form, until a lapse in concentration led to his dismissal. With a total of 122 from 25 overs we had a reasonable total to bowl at. With Ned Potter and Charlie Latham (6 overs, 1 maiden, 1 wicket for 13) opening we started to apply some pressure to the KEGS batting line up. With the introduction of spin from Will Buttleman his first overs was a double wicket maiden and his fourth over was even better, with a ‘hat trick’, impressive bowling! His figures were 5 overs, 2 maidens, 5 wickets for 16 runs.
