King Edward VI Grammar School

Wednesday 1st May

1st XI: Won by 165 runs
Having won the toss we decided to bat, playing 25 overs. Will Buttleman and Boomer Entwistle started really positively, striking the ball intelligently. They shared a 135 run partnership before Boomer was caught for 47. Will continued to play a variety of shots and made his maiden Prep School century, retiring on 100 not out. A terrific achievement. The final total was assisted by T Hitchcock contributing a quick 33 not out.
The KEGS batsmen tried hard to score against some very tidy bowling from eight of our bowlers, however a tight line and length had them all out for 47 in the 15th over.

2nd XI: Won by 53 runs
Felsted batted first and scored 152 off 25 overs for 5 wickets. Excellent opening partnership from Jonny Hoile 44 runs and Robert Hadley 27 runs, supported well by Owen Thomas 42 not out.
KEGS never really got going with their batting, Felsted bowled well and limited KEGS to 91 all out. Well bowled to Peter Hipkin 3 wickets, Olivia Snooks and Jonny Hoile.
